"Behringer's first product was an illegal duplication, right down to the circuit level and owner's manual, of Aphex's aural exciter. Although Behringer ended up losing in court, prior revenue from this item was enough to spring the company from Uli Behringer's garage to a real operation. They were also sued by Mackie for cloning their console layout although I believe that was settled out of court. What Behringer does is unethical and I refuse to patronize them. People who support Behringer are causing damage to the companies who actually invest in R&D and who work hard to bring us new products. "
